Here are the Completed Goals for 2011 and New Goals for 2012, as discussed at the January 2012 Meeting.
Group Goals
- Service project: Throw-sized lap quilts for the Advocates to End Domestic Violence shelter in Carson City. Each Bee to make at least one quilt for donation. Project to be completed by September. No rules or parameters.
- Group activity: "Box" quilt. In round-robin fashion, the Bees will make blocks for each other. At the February meeting, each Bee should bring a box of fabrics from which she would like the other members to make blocks for her. Amount of fabric, color scheme, etc., is up to each quilter. Block size is 12.5 inches unfinished (12 inches finished).
2011: Completed all her goals.
2012:
- Finish the convergence quilt
- Make five walker caddies – one for her dad and four for local needs
- Dip her toe in the free-motion quilting pool
- Make at least one quilted Christmas gift
2011: Tricia definitely "made more purses," and she made one seasonal table runner, but she hasn't even cracked open her Fig Tree Quilt kits.
2012:
- Finish the Bird House quilt top and have it quilted by Paula
- Work with Peggy to make a quilt for their dad's 90th birthday (March 14)
- Continue to improve machine quilting skills and make at least one "zen doodle" wall hanging.
- Make at least one quilt for each new grandbaby, due in August.
2012: Finish 10 quilts by June and to display them in a show.

2011: Completed about 20 out of 32 UFOs.
2012:
- Complete the 12 remaining UFOs
- Work with more plaids, specifically a pattern called "Tomato Soup and Bay Leaves" she received from Carol
- Hand-applique and embroider cut-outs received from Carol
2011: Complete Mariner's Compass quilt for Justin. Completed donation and challenge quilts. Didn't use her Thangles.
2012:
- Lap quilt for 84-year old family friend who lost her husband recently
- Linus quilt for Dayton Ditch Stitchers, service project
- Lap quilt for adult and child for Advocates to End Domestic Violence shelter in Carson City, our service project
- Two pillow cases to match my son's quilt
- Baby quilt
- Challenge quilted wall hanging for the Nevada Quilt Guild
- Lap quilt for John Ellis
2011: Finished T-shirt quilt (had been in the works for years) for Dan Kaffer. Made many baby quilts. Also finished a donation quilt for the library and her step-mother's butterfly quilt.
2012:
- Spend one day each month on Christmas gifts
- Quilts for Leilani, Karen, baby girl Wilson, baby boy Wilson, Holly quilt, Rachael, Cheyenne, Shayna's baby
- Linus Project for the Ditch Stitchers)
- Finish purse from QBees class
- Finish wall hanging from Rita's class
2011: Used scraps and stash (purchased very little new fabric). Finished her son's 40th birthday quilt. Completed donation and challenge quilt projects.
2012:
- Organize scraps by shape, size, color---or something, and get them off the floor.
- Finish at least three unfinished projects (projects that have actual sewing involved, not "kits"!) ;)
- Make Andy's quilt.
- Make Haley's quilt.
- Make a scrap quilt.
- Make at least one thing for the NQG Show raffle basket.
2011: Hugely improved her free-motion quilting skills. Finished 2 out 5-6 UFOs.
2012:
- Continue to develop techniques that spark my creativity
- Work with Tricia to make a quilt for their dad's 90th birthday (March 14)
- Complete at least two UFOs
- Continue to improve free-motiong quiliting skills
- Make baby things for arriving great grandbabies
- Use/organize scraps

2010: Completed all 7 of her goals for 2010, including a Shop Hop quilt and a quilt hand-pieced in 1938 by an unknown quilter.
For 2011 (8 goals):
- Quilt for Justin
- Start AIDS quilt for uncle (Mother’s brother)
- California King quilt for Ed
- Patriotic panel
- Linus quilt for Ditch Stitchers
- Lap quilt for Alzheimer’s study project
- Thangles project
- Create a quilt from a magazine pattern
2010: completed 6 table runners, 6 baby quilts and quilted a large quilt for Rachael.
For 2011:
- 7 baby quilts
- Quilt for Dan Kaffer
- Quilt for a Silver Springs young man (Drew)
- Quilt for her sister’s 60th birthday (Holly)
- Quilt for her stepmom (80 in February)
2010: completed all but 5 of the 20 UFO piecing projects (tops done; still need to be quilted).
For 2011:
- Continue working toward completing the 20 UFOs.
2010: finished UFOs and worked on machine quilting for 2010.

- Finish big projects in process (about 5)
- Organize her stash
- Finish one of her kits
2010: Finished lots of things in 2009 and 2010, including two Windy Moon quilts, pillowcases, placemats, family quilts and a quilt for Molly. She also used 6-inch squres and is saving her selvages. She went through magazines and reorganized her stash closet.

- Transitioning from above
- David’s flannel quilt
- More Windy Moon quilts
- Finish Chris’s quilt
- Start a quilt for Andy
- Use orphan squares for table runners
- Do a patriotic panel challenge
